Member Engagement: Jump in with Both Feet...or Just Dip One Toe

Sep 06, 2011

One of the strategic goals for the Association over the past several years has been to engage and involve more members.  We try not to be an exclusive group.  In fact, we are constantly trying to find ways to get members involved in ways that feel comfortable for them.

Not ready to serve on the board?  Serve on a committee.  Not quite ready to serve on a committee yet? Come to this year's 25th anniversary convention in Austin, and meet all the great people in our industry.  Or learn about the new lien law that will affect the way you do business by attending the legal seminar.

You can also write an article for our magazine, organize a local luncheon in your area, answer someone's question on the Association's forum, list your lien auction on our free auction website...Or, simply answer the questions on the annual member survey and send us your opinion on things we should do differently--we diligently read and heed suggestions...the list goes on and on.

Some members did something a bit different this year and stuck out their necks by submitting an original commemorative T-shirt design.  Thank you to Christi Bader, Jim Ferguson, Jennifer Kennerly, Stephanie McAlpin, William Nestman and Lois Taylor. Voting is open on our Facebook page right now, so be sure to pick your favorite.

We all have different skill sets, different talents.  Heck, if the Association ever has a need for teaching the dance "The Hustle," I'm your gal.  And you know what...at some convention in the future, we just might.

Let us know how you want to get involved, or simply engage using our website--no personal contact required!  You have an association  just waiting to hear about your talent or skills that you can use to help other members to give back.

It is an open secret that these are the nurses who run the medical field. Nurses are the ones who are always there for the patients and their need. They attend to the patients’ pleases and keep the doctors busy and provide all the necessary information. Therefore, nursing as a profession nowadays attracts more and more attention of conscientious people who understand all the significance of the occupation and feel compassion for human beings. https://nursingessaywriting.com

I am glad to share with you a service that helps people with their studies by collecting customer reviews on custom writing services and providing them with academic tips on how to make their education process as smooth as possible! So how the reviews are gathered? Scamfighter collects them from the whole WWW network, mix them with their own and students’ experience. Then they analyze and compare them to the opinions of the guests and writers in the forum. After that, you can enjoy the results in the ratings and blog sections.
