Katie Cowen, National Storage Affiliates (NSA)
Garland, TX


Katie Cowen currently serves as senior director of product development for National Storage Affiliates (NSA). Prior to her role with NSA, Katie was the director of IT for Move It Storage. Beginning her career in the industry more than 16 years ago as a site manager, she then moved into a district manager position and moved into various corporate roles within the company.

With both site and corporate experience, Katie has participated as a presenter, panelist and facilitator numerous times at TSSA’s annual conference. She has also served on the TSSA Conference and Publications Committees.

Katie has a Master of Business Administration degree from Western Governors University, holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, and is a member of the Project Management Institute.

In her spare time, Katie enjoys spending time outdoors and serves as the president of the Texas Women’s Fly Fishers club.

Katie was elected in 2022. This will be her second term serving on the TSSA board.


Justin Jacaman, Ideal Self Storage
Waco, TX


Justin is currently a managing partner for Ideal Self Storage. Justin brings over 15 years of expertise in commercial real estate, with a specialized focus on asset and construction management.

Since becoming a partner at Ideal Self Storage in 2021, he has played a pivotal role in driving the company’s success, overseeing acquisitions and dispositions, asset management, capital renovations, construction and investor relations. His expertise in value-added investment strategies empowers him to uncover and capitalize on opportunities to acquire underperforming or undervalued self-storage facilities.


Shrenik Shah, Montfort Capital Partners
Dallas, TX


Shrenik Shah is co-founder and partner of Montfort Capital Partners (MCP), an investment firm focused on the self-storage sector. Although Shrenik leads the asset management and development efforts, he also assists in acquisitions and investment relations/fundraising. To date, MCP has acquired/developed over $300 million in self-storage assets.

Shrenik’s career began while working for his family’s retail business and was instrumental in the leasing and eventual disposition of the business.

He is a licensed real estate agent and is a member of the Texas Association of Realtors and the Collin County Association of Realtors. Shrenik uses his real estate experience as part of his company’s commercial real estate acquisitions.

Shrenik was elected in 2022. This will be his second term serving on the TSSA board.
