Raheem Amer, Mini Mall Storage

Plano, TX

Raheem Amer is the president of Mini Mall Storage, where he is responsible for acquisition, leasing, property management, personnel, search engine optimization, social media marketing and revenue management.

Prior to joining the company, Raheem was a senior vice president at Devon Self Storage and divisional vice president for Extra Space Storage. His self-storage experience follows a career in executive management, first with his 120 Quiznos sandwich franchises and later with Jiffy Lube. Raheem has served on the TSSA board since 2021. He has chaired the TSSA Publications Committee and contributed articles to Self-Storage News magazine as well as other industry publications. He has volunteered on the TSSA Conference Committee and on the Large Operator Subcommittee.

Raheem has been a presenter at numerous luncheons and at the annual TSSA Big Ideas in Storage Conference, the Executive Retreat, and at the virtual conference in 2020.

Raised in Chicago, Raheem attended the University of Illinois. He now resides in Frisco.

Brian Cisarik, SurePoint Self Storage

San Antonio, TX

Brian Cisarik has been actively involved in the self-storage industry since 1995 as an owner, developer, and manager. He is currently a partner/owner of seven SurePoint facilities in Texas as well as several in Missouri and Kansas.

Brian began his career as an onsite manager before overseeing the management of several self-storage properties. In 1999, Brian developed the first of many self-storage properties and has since been focused on both development and operations for SurePoint Self Storage. Brian and the SurePoint development team have developed a total of 15 self-storage properties and have since sold eight of those assets.

A TSSA member for more than 20 years, Brian has been a panelist or moderator at numerous TSSA luncheons and at the annual conference.

Brian graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, where he played baseball, and where he was inducted into their Sports Hall of Honor. He earned a bachelor's degree in Government. Brian lives in San Antonio.

Clayton Smith, Osprey Companies/Nest Self Storage
KINGWOOD, TX

Clayton Smith is an independent operator and owner of five Nest Self Storage facilities in the Houston area as well as two facilities in Florida.

He has 10 years of experience owning and operating both traditional and boat/RV self-storage properties in Texas. He has experience with remote, self and third-party management as well as directing the expansions of his facilities, where he served as general contractor as owner of his own commercial contracting firm.

Clayton has served as both a moderator and panelist at several TSSA luncheons and recently participated in the 2023 Executive Retreat.

Clayton received his Bachelor of Science degree from Thomas Edison State College while on active duty in the United States Navy and went onto receive an MBA with a management focus from the University of Tulane. Clayton is also a licensed Texas Realtor. He lives in Kingwood.
