The nationally renowned TSSA Goldbook© is a 300-page legal reference guidebook that provides information about how to operate a self-storage business, including step-by-step procedures for foreclosure and eviction, legal articles, FAQs, etc. The Goldbook© can save you from making expensive and disastrous legal mistakes. The Goldbook© is also available digitally in the Members Only section of the website.

 

TSSA Official Forms

Members can purchase copyrighted two-part paper rental agreements and other forms from TSSA for a nominal fee. Members can also purchase an electronic version of the rental agreement (*if you use select management software providers). Click here to learn more about the e-Lease. The TSSA rental agreement is the best in the business and was designed to protect self-storage owners. All TSSA forms are in compliance with Texas laws and are updated when any changes are made in state statutes that impact the self-storage industry. 

 

Education

Educational events held throughout the year include legal seminars, the Executive Retreat and TSSA's Big Ideas in Storage annual conference. TSSA educational events give members the opportunity to learn, network and grow your self-storage knowledge base. TSSA Legislative Watch

Texas Self Storage Association serves as your legislative watchdog. TSSA and its team of lobbyists constantly monitor bills that may be detrimental and work to ensure the legislation does not become law. TSSA actively lobbies for changes to the law that would be beneficial to members. TSSA represents the collective interests of self-storage owners in Texas. Self-Storage News Magazine

TSSA produces a bimonthly magazine that is mailed to owners and self-storage facilities and is also available to view online. Back issues of the magazine are archived online for convenience.
